War Experience Exhibit at City of Raleigh Museum

A FREE special museum exhibit presented by Wake Tech students will run from Sept. 1, 2017 – Nov. 29, 2017 at the City of Raleigh Museum. America’s Wars: Individual Experience and Collective Memory opens Friday, Sept. 1, sponsored by a first-ever grant from the National Endowment of the Humanities. Students curated the powerful exhibit, which features hundreds of personal artifacts and memories – medals, uniforms, maps, letters, photographs, and more. Through interviews with Raleigh-area veterans, through personal artifacts and mementos, through popular culture (videos, music, games), this exhibit looks at how we look at war. Make sure you check this exhibit out and learn something new!

O2 Fitness will host its free "Shape Up Downtown" workout series in downtown Raleigh for the seventh consecutive year this fall. The outdoor group classes will be offered every Monday and Wednesday at 6 pm on the City Plaza Astroturf throughout the month of October. This series gives locals an opportunity to come together as a fitness community, mix up their workout routine and get some fresh air.
